The introduction of TZM alloy
TZM molybdenum is a kind of alloy which includes the 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium and 0.02% carbon with the balance molybdenum. TZM molybdenum is manufactured by either P/M or ARC cast technologies and is of great utility due to its high strength / high temperature application, especially above 2000'F.
TZM alloy has the excellent high temperature strength, high recrystallization temperature, high, thermal conductivity and good resistance to rapidly varied temperatures. The TZM alloy offers twice the strength of pure moly at temperatures over 1300°C. The recrystallization temperature of TZM is approximately 250°C higher than molybdenum and it offers better weldability.
The application of TZM alloy bar
The TZM alloy bars can be used in the high-temperature vacuum and hydrogen-atmosphere furnace construction. At the meantime, the TZM alloy bars also can be used in the sapphire crystal growth, quartz glass, coating and rear earth metallurgy.
